Scott Kane, CEO and President of Solar Lane, founded Solar Lane LLC in 2012 to provide investment-grade opportunities in solar renewable energy projects. Solar Lane focuses on transactions within the United States ranging from 100 kilowatts (kW) to 5 Megawatts (MW) and works with investors to provide dependable financing resources for the development and completion of end‐to‐end renewable energy transactions, ones that meet or exceed expected returns over the life of the project.
Scott has managed businesses in the fields of energy, technology, science. Most recently he built telecommunications systems for both AT&T and Siemens AG. Prior to that, he served as a division Vice President of the AES Corporation (NYSE) in Washington DC, building energy and utility businesses in Europe, Latin America and the United States. He developed, built and established new energy businesses and opened energy markets for a number of corporations and utilities worldwide. He built numerous projects including: energy generation, electric-grid transmission, fiber-optic bandwidth, cellular communications, cybersecurity and Internet services in these regions. He has run several start-up businesses in energy and technology.
Prior to joining AES, Scott was a director of Hagler Bailly Consulting where he was active in reengineering energy and utility companies in the aftermath of energy deregulation in the USA. He reorganized a number of electric and gas utilities and restructured their businesses to meet the new marketplace demands through transformation and innovation. He built numerous large operations that delivered energy, electricity and converged services. Scott has also had successful careers with Digital Equipment and IBM.
Scott holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Swarthmore College, an MS in Physics from The Ohio State University and an MBA in Marketing, Business and Public Administration from the George Washington University. He holds many professional certifications including in Project Management, Operations, IT and Cybersecurity.

Carl Widell, a partner in Solar Lane LLC, has a 30-year background in computer, telecommunications and energy project development. Carl created one of the first business software companies in Los Angeles that wrote software for personal computers. He profited from the development of the P/C chip which kept becoming more affordable while becoming more capable. He sees the same process occurring in solar panels today. He took his software company public in 1996.
Carl is focused on helping small and medium businesses meet their energy needs over the next 10 years and finds solar energy an exciting addition to the technological mix.
His firm was a part of the team that developed the first PC based airline reservations system for America West (now American) Airlines. Mr. Widell acquired a firm that developed accreditation software for the hospital industry and took it public on the NASDAQ. He has managed projects for NASA and FEMA for the US government and served as CFO of several investment and insurance companies in California. He formed his first Ghanaian company in Ghana in 2001, which successfully ran cell phone traffic between the United States and Ghana.
Carl graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a major in the development of emerging nations. He is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.

Mr. Woicke’s expertise is in financial services (investment banking) and operational and in strategic leadership of business in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the USA. Mr. Woicke served as Managing Director of The World Bank Group from April 1999 to January 2005. Mr. Woicke served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of International Finance Corporation (IFC) of The World Bank Group in Washington DC from January 1999 to January 2005 and focused on its expansion, particularly in frontier countries and high-impact sectors, such as energy, domestic financial markets, infrastructure, information technology, health and education and small and medium enterprises. He served as a Vice President at IFC.
Before joining IFC, Mr. Woicke held numerous positions and worked for nearly thirty years with J.P. Morgan. He served as Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia. He also served as Executive Manager of JP Morgan & Company Inc. Mr. Woicke served a member of J.P. Morgan's executive management group. He is a Member of the Institute for Human Rights and Business board. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Ashesi University Accra, Ghana. Mr. Woicke graduated from the University of Saarbruecken, Germany with a Master's of Business Administration degree in 1969.
